Randy Weekes was born in the town of Biggar, Saskatchewan, and presently farms near Biggar and is active in the community. Weekes represents the Saskatchewan Party and is a Member of the Legislative Assembly elected to the provincial electoral district of Biggar serving since the 2003 election and re-elected in 2007. In the 1999 Saskatchewan general election was elected to the provincial electoral district of Reberry Lake. Weekes was the last MLA for the Redberry Lake constituency as it was dissolved between the Biggar and Rosthern-Shellbrook provincial districts..

Weekes had attended Biggar Composite High School and then earned his Diploma in Agriculture from the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon. He married Cindy and has a family. He is a member of the Biggar Knights of Columbus as well as St. Gabriel's Parish. He has been involved with the Saskatchewan Feeder Co-op Association and Saskatchewan Cattle Feeders Association. Toastmaster International presented Weekes with the Competent Toastmaster award (CTM).
