Prairie Fibre Mill is located on the outskirts of Biggar, between Biggar and Rosetown, featuring a Biggar address. "What I much appreciate is that the Prairie Fibre Mill is eco-firendly, running on its own wind and sun power, and using environmentally safe and natural products to scour the fibres they process." says the Ottawa Valley Fiber Arts group. The wind generator provides the only power to the mill. They host a guest cottage a "Rustic cabin" near the mill house as well as the Kingsland One room school house is also offered for retreats. People travel there for felts, yarns, rovings, quilt batting made from alpaca, llama, pygora, sheep, exotic hairs, mohair, bison. They will also blend in silk with the aforementioned fibres. The resulting cashmere, aran or lacey yarns offered in the store have been described as luxurious. They have capabilities to do custom dying, and any producers sending in fibre for processing receive their own fibre back. They offer hand spnning classes, drop spinning classes, tours, gardens, pasture hikes, amd bird watching opportunities by the water's edge. A spring tour may offer a glimpse of the lambing barn. They raise their own Merino and Shetland sheep. The operation is owned by Fred Law and Sheila Sperling-Law
