There are several parks offering a variety of recreational amenities for the town of Biggar: Biggar and District Regional Park, Biggar Aquatic Centre and tennis courts, Sandra Schmirler Olympic Gold Park Buckingham Park, Lloyd Hock Park, and Elks Tot Lot.

Biggar and District Regional Park
is located north of the Biggar townsite on Highway 51 between the junctions with highways 4 and 14. For those with GPS the park location is defined asTownship 36- Range 14-West of the 3rd Meridan at Latitude 52° 04' 45" N an Longitude 107° 58' 32" W. It features the following amenities:

  • regional park.with electrical and non-electric camping facilities and camp kitchen
  • trout pond is nestled within the golf course and entices fishermen with the covered bridge to fish from, and handy barbeque and picnic areas for the lucky anglers.
  • 9-hole grass green golf course with the unique concept of providing two tees for every hole along the golf course resulting in an 18 hole challenge for a variety of golf tournaments. The golf course is service by a Pro shop, clubhouse and lounge with an outdoor patio for barbeques.

Circumnavigating around the Biggar Central School 2000 is the Sandra Schmirler Olympic Gold Park was named in honour of Sandra Schmirler's gold medal curling accomplishments. The Schmirler curling team had received support from SaskPower, who $75,000 to the Sandra Schmirler Olympic Gold Park and sponsors the "Share the Gold" school tour program. The Anita Beckstead book published in 2002, Sharing The Memories: Schmirler Family Schmirler Family, Team & Park celebrates the accomplishments of Team Schmirler, honour "Sandra the Athlete", "Sandra the Curler" and The Sandra Schmirler Olympic Gold Park which became a "Living Breathing Legacy".
This park features the following amenities:

  • Memorial Wall
  • Wall of Fame
Buckingham Park is a neighbourhood green space with picnicking areas, ball diamonds, horseshoe pits children's playground area and washroom facilities. Another area of land set aside for recreational use is the Lloyd Hock Park featuring playground equipment and picnic areas nestled within the landscaped park. Smaller children enjoy the diminutive playground features specially designed for them within Elks Tot Lot.

Biggar Aquatic Centre and tennis courts were constructed in 1987. The outdoor pool utilises solar power heating panels and has become the home for the Biggar Barracuda Swim Club. It is interesting to not that historically, O.J.Rowe spearhaded the construction of tennis courts along the Canadian National Railway tracks during the roaring twenties. Rowe was assistant superintendent for the Canadian National Railways stationed in the Biggar divisional point and later became the Western Canadian superintendent.

There are natural features around Biggar such as Coopers, Richmond, Castlewood, Oban, and Whiteshore Lakes north west of Biggar. The Bear Hills are nestled around the easterly edge of the Biggar plains division of the moist mixed grassland ecoregion providing a rolling terrain in this prairie area.
