In the spring of 2008 Prairie West College and Cypress Hills College announced they would merge to form a new institution called Great Plains College.

Great Plains College has nine campuses at Biggar, Gravelbourg, Kindersley, Maple Creek, Outlook, Rosetown, Shaunavon, Swift Current and Warman.

The Biggar college is located at 701 Dominion Street.
