Sharon Eistetter, P. Ag., was born in Biggar, Saskatchewan and grew up on the family farm near Biggar. Eistetter received her degree in Agriculture from the University of Saskatchewan. Eistetter has been President of the Alberta Institute of Agrologists during the year 2000-2001. The as followed as Director of the Agri-Trade Board between 2000 and 2003. She is based in Red Deer, Alberta and is a member of the Canadian Association of Farm Advisors, CAFA. Eistetter is on the board of directors with Farm Credit Canada, FCC, having served with FCC's agricultural finance sector for 29 years. Eistetter was honoured when selected in the 'Business and the Professions' category by The Red Deer & District Community Foundation in the fall of 2009. Eistetter is a shareholder and Director, Chair-Governance and Nominating of the Westerner Park association. Eistetter received her first year Volunteer long service award in October of 2009 from Westerner Park.

"Farm Credit Canada (FCC) is responding to their drought-stricken customers in Alberta by sending each customer who is affected (primarily in the cash crop and/or beef sector) a personalized letter that outlines they are willing to work with the customer to address any financial concerns encountered as a result of the drought" - Sharon Eistetter in FCC steps up to the plate for farmers.


“We’ve outgrown this facility. We’ve been in it for 10 years and we’ve added on once. “We started looking actually a year and a half ago..FCC has 18 staff in the city and is in the process of hiring two more. We’ll be more efficient because the office is going to be laid out better.”said Eistetter, district manager of the FCC Central Alberta district when speaking of relocating the FCC to a larger facility.
