Biggar Transport functions as a carrier for Prairie Malt supplying a fleet of Super-B trains directly across the road from Prairie Malt. The trucking company operating in conjunction with other local trucking firms, T & T Transport and East Hills Transport Ltd, combine to meet the needs of Prairie Malt supplying malt barley for malt production and malt for delivery to Breweries. The trucking industry also serves the hauling of grain, fertilizer or salt for the agricultural sector which employs 30% of Biggar's work force.
Biggar Transport places more than 60 trucks on the road through a team of dispatchers and employs over 60 employees. According to Saskatchewan Statistics, out of Biggar's 2002 population of about 9,000, approximately 600 are involved in the trucking and warehousing industry. Biggar Transport is a sponsor of the Saskatoon Annual Charitable Golf Tourney and Barbeque.
