- The first school room in Biggar was opened on January 17, 1909 on the second floor of Dan McPhee's building next to the Biggar Hotel.The first teacher was Miss Sarah Hassard with thirteen students.
- The Biggar School District #2497 One Room School house was constructed December 1909.
